Military Exercise: Atilogwu Udo 1 not targeted at anyone, says Buratai

Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai on Thursday said the forthcoming Millitary Operation, Atilogwu Udo 1 is not targeted at any group individual in the South East.
He made the clarification in Enugu at a two0 day Civil-Media-Military Relations Summit organised for the SouthEast zone.
The theme of the summit is ‘Galvanising citizens support for Millitary operations in Nigeria through the Media’.
Proscribed separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had recently claimed the exercise which replaced the Exercise Egwu Eke is targeted at its members.
Egwu Eke (Python Dance), which held for three editions, witnessed clashes between the Army and IPOB.
In the 2017 edition, the Millitary invaded the Umuahia hometown of the group’s Leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Read More

PDP takes protest to US, UK as protesters demands CJN resignation  The National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, on Friday, led other party chieftains in a protest march to the American Embassy and the British High Commission in Abuja. Protest letters were separately delivered to officials of the US Embassy and the Brith High Commission by Secondus who sought the intervention of the two countries in the matter. The letter, entitled, Perversion of Justice: Deliberate Efforts At Truncating Democracy in Nigeria, detailed a number of inconsistencies in the apex court’s judgement in the Imo governorship election. FORGERY CHARGES – ACCUSED PERSONS FAIL TO APPEAR IN COURT A High Court in Rivers State who charged former employee of  De Royal Heroes Group  has adjourned to April 29th to hear a case between the  Nigeria Police  and the former employee. The said employee  Olamide Fajimi  (F) alongside Thomas Ogheneochuko (M) where charged with 31 counts of  Cheating, Stealing, Forgery, Fraudulent False Accounting.  The case was adjourned by the court after the two accused persons failed to appear in court. The Police Lawyer said they have served the accused persons of all the court processes. He said the accused persons will be arraigned by the next adjourned date.
