NCDC WORKERS EVACUATED FROM BRAZZAVILLE – COVID-19.

STRANDED STAFF OF THE NIGERIA CENTRE FOR DISEASE CONTROL (NCDC), WHO HAD BEEN DRAFTED TO BRAZZAVILLE, THE REPUBLIC OF CONGO, TO UNDERGO A SPECIAL CAPACITY BUILDING COURSE WITH THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION (WHO) HAS BEEN EVACUATED.

The medical team, according to the Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Congo, Deborah Iliya, who were on a training programme to expand their knowledge of the management of Coronavirus had been stranded following the closure of air and land borders by Congo Brazzaville ostensibly.
The ambassador, in a statement issued in Abuja at the weekend,  commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the systemic, practical and sincere efforts being taken to end the Coronavirus scourge

FORGERY CHARGES – ACCUSED PERSONS FAIL TO APPEAR IN COURT A High Court in Rivers State who charged former employee of  De Royal Heroes Group  has adjourned to April 29th to hear a case between the  Nigeria Police  and the former employee. The said employee  Olamide Fajimi  (F) alongside Thomas Ogheneochuko (M) where charged with 31 counts of  Cheating, Stealing, Forgery, Fraudulent False Accounting.  The case was adjourned by the court after the two accused persons failed to appear in court. The Police Lawyer said they have served the accused persons of all the court processes. He said the accused persons will be arraigned by the next adjourned date. ATLETICO MADRID RE-SIGN WINGER YANNICK CARRASCO FROM DALIAN YIFANG ON LOAN Atletico Madrid have re-signed Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco two years after he left for Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang. Carrasco, 26, returns on loan until the end of the season to Atletico, where he scored 23 goals in 124 games. He was at the club between 2015-2018 and scored in the 2016 Champions League final against Real Madrid. Atletico are fifth in La Liga, 10 points behind leaders Real, who they are away to on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
