Lai Mohammed, Joins Amaechi On Rail Projects Inspection

 Minister of Information, Culture and National Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, at the weekend, joined his Transportation counterpart, Rotimi Amaechi on the inspection of ongoing railway projects in the Lagos/Ibadan.

The exercise which commenced at the Nigerian Railway Corporation complex, Ebute-Meta at exactly 7:40 AM drew a sea of heads largely from the Federal Ministry of Transportation and the Chinese Construction Engineering Corporation, the major contractor handling the project.

The inspection train is expected to leave Ebute-Meta to Apapa from where it would journey to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

PDP takes protest to US, UK as protesters demands CJN resignation  The National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, on Friday, led other party chieftains in a protest march to the American Embassy and the British High Commission in Abuja. Protest letters were separately delivered to officials of the US Embassy and the Brith High Commission by Secondus who sought the intervention of the two countries in the matter. The letter, entitled, Perversion of Justice: Deliberate Efforts At Truncating Democracy in Nigeria, detailed a number of inconsistencies in the apex court’s judgement in the Imo governorship election. Investors lose N517bn in 2 days over coronavirus announcement

The equities market recorded another huge sell-off today following the announcement, Friday, of first coronavirus case in Nigeria with investors losing N219 billion at the close of trading. This brought the cumulative losses for two consecutive days (Friday, February 28, 2020, and March 2, 2020) to N517 billion.
